At ROMAW, we offer a range of individual medical services that can save your organisation significant time and money through accurate health assessment and preventative measures. These services can be tailored to the requirements of your business or industry and include:
Audiometry: Hearing testing is required under state regulations wherever workplace noise levels exceed acceptable levels and should be conducted on a regular basis. Our comprehensive range of audiometry services include air conduction testing (pure tone audiometry) as well as bone conduction testing, which can help distinguish the ‘industrial’ component of a hearing loss.
Spirometry: Otherwise known as lung function testing, spirometry can be used to assess an employee’s capability for physical work and rehabilitation, to assess claims for disability, and to establish safe respiratory conditions in your workplace.
Electrocardiograph (ECG): An ECG is an electrical tracing of the activity of the heart, and can be used to assess an employee’s suitability for certain workplace tasks. It may be used to investigate chest pain, including heart attack and angina, as well as high blood pressure and palpitations.
Drug Screening Programs: Drug screening can help reduce employee absenteeism and improve safety at your workplace. These programs are especially important where safety-critical activities are conducted and may be considered for contractual purposes. Drug screens can be carried out for most common illicit drugs.
Immunisation Programs: Immunisations can reduce downtime associated with infectious illnesses, and these programs can be carried out at our clinic or your premises. We offer all vaccinations available including Fluvax, Hep A & B, Q-Fever, Typhoid, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis and Yellow Fever.
Legal Assessments: As qualified Independent Medical Examiners (IMEs) and Injury Management Consultants (IMCs), we are available to do medico legal work for solicitors and insurers in both NSW and Victoria.
Breath Alcohol Testing: Breath alcohol screening programs can help ensure your workforce is fit for duty and the workplace. Australian Standard Certified units and accredited testers are able to complete testing at your workplace or during a prospective employee’s pre-placement health assessment.
